Over the past several years, we’ve noticed a steady increase in businesses asking a very direct question: “Can you just manage our website for us?”
Not redesign it. Not rebuild it. Just manage it.
That request usually comes after something breaks, a plugin update crashes the site, a hosting provider offers no real support, or a developer disappears after launch. The reality is that websites today are not one-time projects. They are business infrastructure that require regular monitoring, updates, security management, and performance improvements to keep working properly.
Stand And Stretch has been working with websites for more than 17 years, operating since 2010, and during that time we’ve watched the internet evolve from simple brochure sites into complex systems that support marketing, lead generation, online sales, and customer communication.
Today we manage over 140 websites locally and regionally, and that experience makes one thing very clear. Websites that receive consistent oversight perform better and cause far fewer problems than websites that are left alone after launch.
How We Help Keep Websites Running Smoothly
When a business asks us to manage their website, what they are really asking for is peace of mind. They want to know that someone is paying attention to the technical side of things so they can focus on running their company.
Managing a website involves far more than simply keeping it online. Software needs to be updated regularly, plugins need to be monitored for compatibility issues, and hosting environments must be configured properly to maintain performance and security. Backups need to be verified, server logs should be monitored, and occasional improvements need to be made to keep a website aligned with current technology and search engine expectations.
Accessibility has also become an important part of responsible website management. Businesses today must consider whether their websites are usable by visitors with disabilities. To help address this, we work with AccessiBe, a technology provider that helps websites move toward WCAG accessibility standards by improving screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, and other assistive features.
By combining secure hosting infrastructure, regular maintenance, accessibility improvements, and ongoing monitoring, we help ensure our clients’ websites remain reliable tools for their business.
What the Last 30 Days of Support Data Shows
Managing a large number of websites gives us a clear view into how website support actually works day to day. Over the past 30 days, our support system recorded 16 customers helped, 30 responses to support requests, and a 100 percent satisfaction rating from completed surveys.

Those numbers might seem simple, but they represent something important. Website management is not just about technology. It is about responsiveness and accountability. When a client needs something updated or encounters an issue, they want to know someone is available to respond and solve the problem.
Because we manage more than 140 active websites, we handle everything from small content updates to larger configuration changes on a regular basis. Having a structured support process allows us to respond quickly and keep those websites running smoothly.
What Website Management Typically Costs
Most of our clients start with our Small Business Web Management Plan, which begins at $50 per month or $500 per year and includes ongoing website oversight along with time each month for updates or improvements.
This plan gives businesses a predictable way to keep their website maintained without worrying about unexpected costs every time a change is needed.
We do offer a basic hosting-only option for businesses that simply need a place to host their website, as well as a higher-impact plan designed for larger or e-commerce websites that require more consultation and support, but those services make up only about 10 percent of our clients, with the majority choosing the standard management plan.
The Honest Truth About Websites Most Agencies Don’t Talk About
A lot of agencies focus on building websites and then moving on to the next project. That approach works well for agencies because it creates a steady flow of new work. For businesses, however, it often leaves them without support once the website launches.
Websites require ongoing attention. Plugins need updates, hosting environments occasionally need adjustments, and content often needs to be refreshed. When nobody is responsible for maintaining the system, small issues slowly build up until something eventually breaks.
Because we manage a large number of websites long term, our focus isn’t just launching websites. Our focus is making sure they keep working properly for years.
Why Ongoing Website Management Just Makes Sense
After more than a decade working with websites, one pattern appears again and again. Websites that receive regular management stay healthier, perform better, and avoid many of the technical issues that affect neglected sites.
A website that is monitored, updated, and improved over time becomes a reliable asset for a business. It continues generating leads, supporting marketing efforts, and providing information to customers without constant emergencies or expensive repairs.
Our job is simple.
We keep websites running, we keep them secure, we help businesses stay accessible to all users, and we make sure that when something needs attention, there is a team ready to handle it.
That approach is why so many businesses continue trusting us to manage their websites year after year.
